ABCD is a trapezium. AB is parallel to DC. Which of the following is true?
- 1. $\angle ABC = \angle ADC$
- 2. $\angle BAD = \angle BCD$
- 3. $\angle ABC + \angle BAD = 180^\circ$
- 4. $\angle BAD + \angle ADC = 180^\circ$
Answer: 4
Worked solution
- Since AB is parallel to DC, AD is a transversal, so $\angle BAD$ and $\angle ADC$ are co-interior (supplementary) angles. Therefore $\angle BAD + \angle ADC = 180^\circ$.
