Aloysius travelled from Town J to Town K. He travelled at an average speed of 60 km/h for a total distance of 150 km. He reached Town K at 6 p.m. What time did Aloysius leave Town J?
Answer: 3.30 p.m.
Worked solution
- Time taken $= \frac{150}{60} = 2\frac{1}{2}\text{ h} = 2\text{ h }30\text{ min}$. Leaving time $= 6\text{ p.m.} - 2\text{ h }30\text{ min} = 3.30\text{ p.m.}$
