There are 48 chocolates in a box. 36 of them are milk chocolates while the rest are dark chocolates. What is the ratio of the number of dark chocolates to the number of milk chocolates?

Answer: 1

Worked solution

\(\text{Dark} = 48 - 36 = 12\)
\(\text{Dark} : \text{Milk} = 12 : 36\)
\(= 1 : 3\)
