Find the total area of the shaded parts. (Take $\pi = 3.14$.)

Answer: 299.5 cm^2

Using the big circle radius $10$ cm, the small circles and squares, the shaded regions are found by subtracting the unshaded areas from the circle areas. Combining all shaded parts gives a total shaded area of $299.5\text{ cm}^2$.
