The pie chart shows the number of children at a drama workshop over 4 days. Sunday is 27% and Friday is 30%. 50 children were there on Saturday (25%). How many children were at the drama workshop on Thursday?

Worked solution

Saturday $= 25\%$ represents 50 children, so $100\% = 50 \times 4 = 200$ children. Thursday $= 100\% - 27\% - 30\% - 25\% = 18\%$. Children on Thursday $= 18\% \times 200 = 36$.
