The number of books borrowed from Monday to Wednesday is 4 times as many as the number of books borrowed on Thursday and Friday. Find the number of books borrowed on Friday.
Answer: 20

Worked solution

  1. Mon-Wed = $65 + 90 + 85 = 240$
  2. Thu + Fri = $240 \div 4 = 60$
  3. Fri = $60 - 40 = 20$.
